There are many iconic places in Madrid to include in your visit:

Puerta del Sol is an emblematic place, home to kilometre 0 and the clock which, with its bells, marks the tradition of eating 12 grapes at the exact beginning of each New Year.

Plaza de Oriente is situated on the east of the Royal Palace. With an impressive and charming garden, Plaza de Oriente is an interesting place to visit.

Plaza Mayor is in the centre of Madrid. It is one of the most interesting places to visit in the city, as it has a rectangular shape and is used for various activities such as the last stop of the Reyes Magos (the Three Kings).

Plaza de España is one of the most important places in Madrid. It is situated in the centre and comprises a small park, where we find an unusual fountain dedicated to Miguel de Cervantes.

Plaza de Colón is located between the Paseo del Prado and Serrano. It is home to a small park with a fountain and a theatre.

Templo de Debod is an Egyptian temple located in the east of the Plaza de España. It was donated by Egypt to Spain as a thank you gesture. It is 2,200 years old and was transported stone by stone, all the way to Madrid.

Situated at the Plaza de Cibeles, very near of the Puerta de Alcalá, Fuente de Cibeles is mainly known for being the place where the supporters of the Real Madrid celebrate their titles.

Puerta de Alcala is a monument located at the Independence Square, opposite the Parque del Retiro. It was created by Fernando Sabatini to perform the function of a gate.

Museo del Prado is the most important museum in Madrid. It's in front of the Parque del Retiro and is home to thousands of works of the most important painters and sculptors in history.

Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum is one of the most famous and renowned museums of Madrid. It is home to a significant collection of works by important artists and a collection of monographs.

Museo Reina Sofia is an important museum in Madrid which exhibits great works including Guernica, by Pablo Picasso.
